Welcome to this week’s Great Game! This week we attempt to add some nuance and layers to the understanding of the US-Iran conflict while adding my two cents to the ongoing oil debate.
US attacks in Syria and Iraq was a soft response
The US retaliated against Iran after the attacks last week – but as we predicted last week, the US went quite soft and limited their strike to Iranian proxies and not Iran itself. That was a de-escalating move that Iran will likely not respond in force to. The risk of war is over for now.
