Spending Watch – The consumer is back
The consumer is finally showing signs of being back after the inflation crisis, which has recently been shown in the much stronger than expected monthly Retail Sales in the US and an economy that looks stronger than feared on the surface.
The soft landing narrative may well be short-term justified (to some extent), and in this piece we will dig into what that means for assets, how the outlook for consumers is globally and why consumers are very important for assets and the economy.Â
