A month ago we posted a free article on how Powell could lower inflation rates if he lowered rates. It sounds like something coming out of the Bank of Turkey, right? But hear us out. Take the Motor Vehicle Insurance part of the CPI basket which has been skyrocketing and has been one of the components which have proven inflation to be sticky. 

If Powell were to lower rates, then the discount rate used to calculate insurance premiums would drop as well which would automatically feed into lower levels in the CPI basket. If you want to read the whole article here is the link.
